Apple unveils patched firmware for MacBook Air Mid 2011 online

Last week, Apple banished without comment the new firmware version 2.9 for MacBook Air models of the year 2011 from its servers. As of now the update in an updated version is available again for download ready. The software package is only 4.5 megabytes in size and bears the designation "MacBook Air (Mid 2011) EFI Firmware Update 2.9.1" as heise online information.

Even with the release of firmware version 2.9.1 Apple continues to make no information as to why the original on July 21, 2014 published firmware update 2.9 had ever been withdrawn. In the official release notes states only version 2.9.1 replaces version 2.9.Everything else remains the same. The new EFI firmware update for MacBook Air models (mid 2011) to fix problems that could cause vocally Open Type fan and unwanted delays when waking up the device from Sleep mode.
