LG Watch Urban LTE: 4G wireless for the wrist

The new  LG Watch Urban LTE SmartWatch can be used for different purposes, such as to the time, to get apps or for wireless networking with a smartphone. For playback and operation is a 1.3-inch / 3.3-inch large P-OLED touchscreen display is used, which supports a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels with a pixel density of 245ppi.

The performance of the watch receives a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor running at 2.0GHz on clock frequency. Is complemented by 1GB whole LPDDR3 memory and internal memory capacity of 4GB eMMC flash memory. The energy supply is a 700mAh battery on board. The Smart Watch is equipped with a 9-axis sensor, with a barometer, a GPS chipset for tracking and a PPG sensor or a heart rate monitor.Accordingly, the watch can also be used in a range of sporting activities.

The connectivity is wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE, NFC and the 4G (LTE) modem provides. The SmartWatch can receive and send both calls and SMS. The housing is held in high-gloss polished metal and a push-to-talk function is also available, provided that the respective network provider supports this service. The case has been sealed by the IP67 protection rating against water and dust. The SmartWatch can survive for up to 30 minutes in a water depth of one meter. A price and release date are not yet available.
