Panasonic Nubo: First 4G-LTE surveillance camera available in early 2016

The Panasonic Nubo surveillance camera will be on pre-order, first in April in the UK, the Netherlands and the USA and will be delivered in Q4 2015. As a release date for Germany, however only called the 1st quarter 2016. Special features include the built-in 4G LTE modem via which the monitoring can be performed with high bandwidth. The built-in modem also supports low bandwidth GPRS, 2G and 3G in the surveillance.

The camera can be used for outdoor surveillance and there is a protective housing to IP66 standard before, so the camera is weatherproof. Other special features include added an intelligent recognition of individuals who can give an alarm function via the app. Furthermore, the camera can be combined with external sensors such as, for example, with door sensors or motion detectors and optional, it can be equipped for power supply with an external battery.

The recorded videos, audio files and images are stored in a cloud-based storage system that is protected by SSL encryption. It can be operated among others by tablet or smartphone via an app. What price the 4G surveillance camera will go into Germany at the start, however, was not mentioned.
