Great news for owners of Sony A7II which I have tested here in the blog at some length. On November 18, a firmware update will be published, for free, of course, that brings a function for uncompressed 14-bit RAW images and the AF phase detection for faster and more accurate autofocus DSLR lenses such as the A-mount lenses by Sony provides. With the firmware update, the α7 II - after α7S II, II and RX1R α7R II - enables the latest full-screen camera from Sony, the uncompressed RAW images. The "RAW uncompressed / compressed" function can be selected in the menu system.
