Without great presentation and rather reserved, the new 7-inch tablet in the Catalan city was presented.

With the HP Touchpad last time the test was started in the Tablet business to gain a foothold, but with its own WebOS many customers could not be reached. The failure had less to operating system, but rather to the fact that the tablet with its specification during its release no more "up-to-date" was.

The HP Slate 7 could mean for the company, a new trend, because the first time you bet on Android OS as the operating system. Here, the 7-inch tablet will be launched in the area, whose resolution is 1024 × 600 pixels. Thus, it is at a level of the Acer Iconia A71 and B1-slightly below the Google Nexus 7 . The tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core strong, whose production is based on ARM Cortex-A9 based. Which manufacturer provides the SoC, has not been previously communicated.

When Hewlett Packard uses 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory is including a microSD card expansion. Encouraging the use of a camera and a 3MP primary VGA front camera. Such as Hewlett Packard is reported in its press release that the publication in mid-May 2013 at a price of ~ 150 euros.

Because of the excellent workmanship and great feel, the HP Slate 7 is definitely worth a look, as it is superior in these respects, the Acer Iconia B1 considerably.
