HTC has in a separate press event in London , the new Android flagship presented the company, not only in terms of design takes a different approach, but also in the camera. Unlike the competition, the Taiwanese electronics company has decided against the megapixel madness and only installed a camera with four megapixels.

Contrary to popular belief, the number of megapixels is not crucial for good image quality and can, at worst, provide inferior results. A high number of megapixels complicates for example the inclusion of light and requires a more complex process to handle the millions of pixels. HTC has opted for a small number, and therefore sets the camera on four megapixels. This is especially in low light conditions for good quality care.

In a further comparison demonstrates the so-called ultra-pixel camera and his skills even shows that the new HTC smartphone also can keep up with the Nokia Lumia 920, which is known to have the best camera in a smartphone. However, it is also compared with the Samsung Galaxy S3, but has only a mediocre camera in low light situations, and not very good cuts.

In the three images of Dragoljub of mobile.benchmark.rs come clarifies that HTC has scored a coup, and in low light gets the best results. The high-resolution versions of the photos can here be downloaded. The larger pixels appear not only to let in more light than regular lenses in smartphones, but also to show a better color reproduction. In some cases, the photos of the HTC one is even better than the Nokia Lumia 920th The Samsung Galaxy S3 turn on moderate shots, and compares favorably with the HTC One and the Nokia Lumia 920 was less successful. It of course remains to be seen how the Samsung Galaxy S 4 beats in a first comparison.
