Samsung Galaxy S4 costs around 187 Euros in manufacturing

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 has been announced in Germany, with an internal memory of 16 gigabytes, LTE Support Tung and the recommended retail price of 729 euros. Customers can use the high-end smartphone but already preorder for 649 euros and the price is expected to fall in the coming weeks and months. The market research firm IHS iSuppli has looked at times but the cost of parts and manufacturing and published a preliminary list.

The new flagship in the LTE version will cost the equivalent of 187 euros (241 U.S. dollars). This includes both the pure hardware, which costs about 180 euros, and the assembling of the device, for which EUR 6.60 will be required. In comparison, the iPhone will cost 5 in the smallest memory version only 160 euros to produce and is therefore much cheaper than the South Korean smartphone. Particularly interesting is that the Super AMOLED display with FullHD resolution costs about $ 75 and the Snapdragon 600 with $ 20 proposes to book.

The values ​​include but are not all the costs that are necessary for the completion and marketing of smartphones. The development of the product and the software, the sales of parts and the assembled device, but also the marketing costs were not included in the invoice. A number of costs are to go under the table and dim the above quotation.
