In the past we have succeeded to the Finnish manufacturer of smartphones, to stabilize after more and more, which seems quite important given the competition. Proportion of these also the relationships with developers and the software manufacturer Microsoft . But the importance of these partnerships for the Group, and former mobile phone king, anyway?

Nokia relies on partnership and cooperation

Bryan Biniak, VP, Global Partner and App Developers at Nokia , now has the task of monitoring all apps for Windows Phone and Asha, which are developed for Nokia phones. Regarding the earlier notices, according to which Nokia is working with DreamWorks Animation for new apps, Biniak explained how crucial certain partners can be - especially when it involves new apps for mobile ecosystems.

"Partners are critical. Nowadays you can not smartphone sell more without providing apps for this. When I came here three years ago, has possibly one believed, but now it is the reality. But apps are not enough if the customers do not like. So we must always do a very good job. Moreover, we need a few things that the competition has not, so we can sell something unique. "

Close contact with partners is very important

For precisely this reason, Nokia offers its partners and developers always the best support. In addition, many APIs are issued, awarded to Independent Tool Kits and micro-Developer and more. This is of course also on Asha. In the case of CNN Biniak explained how Nokia has convinced the U.S. channel used to automatically create the application by Nokia.

"Two weeks after the start of development, we were able CNN show a first alpha version. They said that it was the best thing they had ever seen, and yet no one would have done it better, either internally or externally."

And because so many companies and potential partners of Nokia and Windows Phone are convinced this year will get worse, so Biniak. It remains to be seen what else is to come.
