CES: Samsung shows smart belt and VR controller

The smart belt "world" is used to record health information, such as waist size and the time spent in sitting time. The VR controller Rink uses hand movement to control. TIPtalk used to transmit sound over the finger.
Samsung will present at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas three new products of its research labs Creative Lab. In a blog post, it announces a smart belt for collecting health data, a controller for virtual reality devices such as the Gear VR and a bracelet for watches for transmitting sound.

"Rink" is according to Samsung an advanced controller for mobile virtual-reality devices such as the VR headset Gear VR, which allows users to interact by hand movement in an intuitive and nuanced way with the virtual world. The ability to control games or other visual content intuitively by hand, lets consumers according to Samsung delve much deeper into the virtual world.

TIPtalk is another new innovation of the research laboratories of Samsung, the sound of devices like the SmartWatch Samsung S2 without headphones transmits solely by touching the ear with your finger. The new technology will provide a clearer sound quality during calls, so users can make calls without any problems even in noisy environments like a concert hall or site.

TIPtalk is shaped like a bracelet and serves as an accessory for Smart Watches, as well as conventional watches. In the latter case, the device can also synchronize with smartphones and use, for example, for text-to-speech (TTS).
