Apple Patents: user-based navigation and Noise Cancelling Headphones

On this day, two new Apple patent applications have been reported, showing which technologies the manufacturer from Cupertino is currently working on, among other things. The first patent deals with a user-based navigation guidance and the second patent describes a self-adaptive Noise Cancelling Headphones.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published an Apple patent application describes with the Apple a user-based navigation and real-time traffic monitoring. Similar as with Waze, recently acquired by Google , Apple with patent describes "User-specified route and alerts rating" a method of how information from users and their mobile devices (including GPS) are used to calculate routes and congestion in to avoid real time.

In addition to the automatic acquisition of data users also have the opportunity actively intervene and evaluate current cruising routes.

With the second filed patent "Electronic device and headset with speaker seal evaluation capabilities" Apple describes a set of headphones, the sound output automatically adjusts the basis of various factors. The built-in headset microphones can also be used for noise suppression.

A few weeks ago had the Bose QuietComfort 20 headphones presented with active noise cancellation. We are curious to see if Apple brings the future a similar product on the market or only the patent secures. (Via 1 , 2 )
