CES: Acer Liquid Jade Primo with Windows Mobile and 10 Continuum function

Acer displays at CES in Las Vegas a powerful smartphone with Windows Mobile 10. The Liquid Jade Primo is sold with a docking station, with which the Continuum function of the operating system can be used. Thus, the smartphone becomes a small desktop PC.

The 5.5-inch AMOLED display of Jade Primo dissolves 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Inside, a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC clocked 808 on six cores with up to 2 GHz and is supported by 3 GB of RAM.

The internal flash memory is 32 GB, but can be expanded via microSD card up to 128 GB. Alternatively, instead of the MicroSD card and a second SIM card smartphone be plugged.

In addition to quad-band GSM and UMTS, the Liquid Jade Primo understands, moreover, Cat6-LTE and WiFi 802.11ac. The specifications of the camera tells Acer with that 4K video can be recorded back photographed with 21-megapixel resolution and a dual LED flash as well. Also on the front side you have indulged in the Jade Primo above average number of megapixels and allows Selfies with a resolution of 8 MP.

Most, however, stands the Continuum function of Jade Primo out thanks to the enclosed dock. The station is connected to the screen to use the Continuum surface of the operating system, Windows 10 Mobile. Here, the mouse and keyboard can be connected to use the smartphone as a small desktop PC, and can for example use office software more effectively. The dock has two USB2.0 and USB3.0 and an HDMI port.

Acer wants to bring the Liquid Jade Primo in January 2016 to trade. Including docking station will cost the smartphone in Germany 599Euro. Mouse, keyboard or another dock to bring content from the smartphone screen to a large screen can be purchased separately.
