Samsung has begun shipping the currently probably store most 2.5-inch SSD Open: The new SSD series PM1633a 16TB model. However, the part has 16TB in name only, real Samsung has only 15.36 TB squeezed into the 2.5-inch form factor, more precisely 512 V-NAND memory blocks, each with 256 GB. The now delivered top of the line PM1633a, meanwhile, has received no official price tag because it is marketed to corporate clients only, during the year, however, further PM1633a SSDs with capacities consumer friendly come (480 GB, 960GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB or 7.68 TB), which are expected to be commercially available then at least partially also regularly.
