There are many rumors that Apple will use  OLED screens on the iPhone. Currently, the only Apple device that uses this type of display is the Apple Watch and one of the reasons is that they consume less energy when used black backgrounds, but that could change sooner than we think. As early as 2017, next, next to the device that, except surprise, the year will be called iPhone 7s.

According to sources close to the supply chain of Apple, Tim Cook and company they reached an agreement with LG and Samsung in December and assessed the possibility of launching an iPhone with OLED screen next year , ahead in one year to the original estimates They collected most rumors about it . Besides the two Korean companies, Apple also reported the possible change to other companies with which usually works to make their devices.

One advantage of OLEDs is their ability to bend . Initially, the iPhone 7 will not have curved or flexible screen, so the iPhone 7s nor should have it, but Apple's intention is tostart using OLED displays as soon as possible to have everything prepared for a future in they can take advantage of all properties of this type of display.

In addition to its flexibility, OLED displays also offer a lower energy consumption , particularly and as mentioned above if you have black backgrounds are used, since in this type of display consumes energy only pixels that are turned on. On the other hand, it offers a more vivid colors , which also has positive and negative side, depending on the eye of the beholder.

If in the end I explained in this post is met, the OLED iPhone 7s screen would be one of the points that Tim Cook and company would use to promote the device at the time of submission, probably accompanied by a special name (such as Focus Pixel camera) with which they try to attract the attention of potential buyers. Do you guys prefer OLED screens or the Retina?
