iPad Pro 9.7: Apple makes compromises in hardware

The last September brought out of Apple iPad Pro is Apple's most powerful tablet. For those who find the 12.9-inch display is too large, Apple has also introduced a smaller version with 9.7 inches earlier this week. In the Keynote Apple presented the details of the tablet and let it act as if it were simply a more compact version of the original Pro model. Apparently, this is not the case.

Apple claimed that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro with the same A9X processor comes as the larger version. Who therefore hoping for an equally powerful device, will be sadly disappointed. There are reportedly namely significant differences.

With his statement, Apple has not lied basically, but the A9X chip of the 9.7-inch tablet seems slower to work as the 12.9-inch model. On his website, Apple describes the A9X the big pros compared to A7 as 2.5 times faster GPU than 5 times faster.

When smaller Pro reads contrast only: 2.4x and 4.3 times faster. Probably the A9X runs in iPad Pro 9.7 inches with a lower clock. Matthew Panzarino of TechCrunch has also found that Apple has reduced even the memory for the small model. It only comes with 2 instead of 4 GB RAM.

Those who want to purchase the small iPad Pro, so you should be aware that it will probably not offer the same performance as the larger model - at least not on paper. How it works in practice, is of course remains to be seen, but again, it will probably not be able to really compete.
