A week ago, the Microsoft Surface Pro officially announced , and an appearance on the 9th Announced in February in the U.S. and Canada. The unit is equipped with full Windows 8 and has a powerful Intel Core i5 processor. The device is available either with a storage capacity of 64 GB for 899 U.S. dollars or 128 GB for $ 999.
So far so good, but unfortunately the available storage space cannot be fully exploited. A certain portion of the installed hard disk is required as usual for the operating system, but compared to Android and iOS, the full Windows 8 but consumes more space. The company from Redmond has now announced that the version with 128 gigabytes of storage can effectively use only 83 gigabytes. The smaller version, however, is measured with a little less memory and can use the existing 64 gigabytes actually only a mere 23 gigabytes. The fairly small space might be a few programs, a few games and some multimedia already depleted.
Luckily, there is the option to upgrade the device with a microSDXC card or connect an external hard drive to the Surface Pro. Nevertheless, the consumption of the operating system pretty hard and probably one or other users greatly surprised.
