During the day it has been recognized to Apple a patent on a system based on augmented reality, which can identify the objects once they are framed by the camera of a device.
Let's talk about patent No. 8,400,548 called "Synchronized, interactive augmented reality displays for multifunction devices." Fatherhood of the same has been recognized today by the USPTO and describes an advanced augmented reality using the features available on iOS devices, such as multitouch, camera and wireless Internet.
The patent provides for the recognition of an object after it is captured by the built-in camera of a device, sending the on-screen overlays with your name and some information on the same. In the example placed on the patent is shown a printed circuit board: the system informs us of the type of the various chip contained therein.
These data can be displayed as text, images or hyperlinks. Apple claims to use various technologies already exist for the recognition in real time.
If the system fails to give information about an object, it is the user that can put them through on-screen controls, or add them to a second user who is connected to our own image, sent in real time on your device.
You can also further a display mode, which provides for the simultaneous display of two views, both the real one of the camera, that the edited by the software. The example that you can see above see a live video of San Francisco, while below the system plays a three-dimensional vision that gives us useful information about the area and the location of friends who want to meet.
