Apple patent describes a system that auto-repair wet ports

6s when the iPhone went on sale, as happens whenever a device reaches the market, some users began to make tests. The most common tests are the resistance to liquids and scratches. All surprised us tests water resistance when we saw the iPhone 6s endured far more than the iPhone 6. This caused us to start to think that Apple is working on systems to protect the iPhone against liquids and patents like today no They serve to feed that impression.

Apple has called this patent " hidden electronic device with connector "and describes some ports, such as USB or 3.5mm, which are covered with a self-healing elastomer(though in English use the word "healing" meaning "healing "). This material prevent water and other debris from entering the device and damage it. When we had to use the port, the user only have to pass the cable or connector through the elastomer and once you take off, would place automatically.

Failing to see how this system works and although the patent refers several times to the word "heal" (heal), I think it is best that we imagine who wanted to use the word "Seal", which means that the system would have the ports sealed to keep out dust or water to the time when we want to use. Once finished, the system would seal the ports to protect them. However, you could use a similar LG G Flex, which eliminates scratching device casing technology.
As we always say to patents that a company has patented something does not mean that they will be included in a device. What does that it is clear in this case it is that from Cupertino are working to offer an iPhone that breaks down not to a water accicente.
