iPhone 4S: Vodafone warns against updating to iOS 6.1

Less than two weeks ago, Apple has released an update for the mobile operating system, iOS 6.1 for download provided. It appears that the update brings not only the one or the other fixes with it, but also additional problems that will primarily affect the network operator Vodafone and the iPhone 4S.

In the UK, Vodafone has warned customers before updating to iOS 6.1, because the new version will cause general problems with the UMTS network. Outgoing calls and sending messages to lead to difficulties and the iPhone 4S will not work properly. The German equivalent is also a statement published and uttered a warning precaution. Apple is already working on a solution to the software problem.

Although we currently have no information available from our customer to similar disturbances here in Germany, we would currently recommend against it, with the iPhone 4S update to iOS 6.1 perform.

In Germany have also been occasional users complained about the problem, so the UMTS network is simply short term "freeze" and no longer available. The switching on and off the airplane mode is, however, remedy the situation. A long-term solution is of course not.

I have the update and also the problems since then! The mobile network freezes constantly, the network is often lost.

Annoying constantly with time flight mode on and off again.

Could you also find such problems or does the iPhone 4S on the Vodafone network after updating to iOS 6.1 as before?
