Microsoft Surface and Surface RT Pro Tablets Comparison: Differences and similarities in the Overview

Our next technical comparison, we dedicate again two new tablet PCs and is the one to the Microsoft Surface RT tablet PC, which you can now also get in stores and on the other to the Surface Pro Tablet PC, the improved version which have not yet been to in Germany.

Both tablet PCs from Microsoft is a sort in the mid-to upper-range segment of Windows-based tablets, and both models feature a 10.6-inch HD touchscreen display.

When Surface RT model is a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels are available, while the Pro version supports a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

In power, the differences are then marked. Surface of the RT is the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core architecture equipped with 4x 1.3GHz clock speed, while the Surface Pro is equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor of Ivy Bridge generation. In addition, the RAM has increased from 2GB to 4GB at RT for each model.

When RT Surface Tablet PC the two sizes are available with 32GB and 64GB of storage. The Pro model takes off with 64GB and 128GB storage. To exchange data are also WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth with it, in version 2.1 and 4.0 at RT model in terms of per model.
