Samsung Galaxy S3 with Vodafone branding gets another update (I9300XXEMR2)

Only two days ago we reported about battery problems of the Samsung Galaxy S3, which come to Exynos since last update in appearance. Out of nowhere and surprising beats today at our Vodafone-branded Galaxy S3 on an update (JZ054K.I9300XXEMR2). The update is 78.30MB in size and is both OTA (over the air), as well as available via KIES.

As with every update not all devices can be processed at once, so it may take a while until your unit's turn. Even manual triggering of the update succeeds only in some cases. With an installation time of about 30 minutes, however, you should bring along some time. Let us now but the changes that have been adapted with the latest update.

At first glance, I only minimal changes are noticed. The animation of "wiping hand gesture", with the screenshots can be made, have been changed. Still got a few icons in the system settings a different design. The most significant is the addition of a cloud category in the settings in which your Galaxy S3 can be connected directly to Dropbox. There, you can still define whether photos and / or videos to be uploaded to the cloud. Also in the gallery, this change is noticeable. There are also folders you indicated that you have previously defined in Dropbox.

Another change relates to the multi-window function, which has been held for some time with the Galaxy S3 catchment. Here in selecting the active window is framed for a short time with a blue border, then an arrow points in the separator bar to the active window (previously included) back. For battery life, we have stressed in recent days, of course we can make no statement. The performance seems - as usual - to be very good.
