Meanwhile, it is customary that a premium manufacturer to introduce miniature versions of their flagship phones. So there are, among other things, a mini HTC One or Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Sony also wants the non-inferior and present sooner or later the Xperia Z1s. Now the device is pitched at the US-American FCC certification body which gives us hope for an early release of the device.

As can be seen from the documents of the FCC, the outer dimensions are 129mm in height and 64.9 mm in width. For comparison, a Xperia Z1 manages to 144mm in height and 74 mm in width. The display is a diagonal of 4.3 inches having 720 pixels at a resolution of 1280 x.

Since the Xperia Z1s from a technical perspective is likely to correspond to the Sony Xperia Z1f already available in Japan, most of the data are largely known. So here, a QSD 800 SoC with 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 20.7-megapixel main camera will be on board. Also Sony will revert to a water-and dust-proof housing.

The idea for the international market is targeted for the first quarter of 2014, a presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 is therefore likely to be more than likely.
