Overall, it is said in the report, Apple Maps will receive 5 billion user requests per week.The information have colleagues obtained directly from Apple. Apple Maps is 3 times as often in use as Google Maps. It must be noted that the figures refer only to iOS devices.If one looks at the entire smartphone market, so Google Maps is still in the lead.
“We are fast learners and we are fast at fixing things,” said Greg “Joz” Joswiak, an Apple vice president who oversees product marketing for iPhones and related services. “We learned the maps business incredibly fast.”
Apple gets its data for companies, traffic and other information now from more than 3,000 sources. It is further stated in the report that Apple still many plans for Apple Maps cherishes. We can imagine that indoor navigation win in the coming years in importance and Apple will put an emphasis on it. In addition, Apple has been sending a few months vehicles through the streets in different countries to improve their own maps app. What Apple so just leads up to, is not known.
