Sidesafari is a
very interesting application. In
the iPad allows two instances of Safari running on split screen at the same
time, something that is not possible even in the iPad with iOS Pro 9. Its
function is basically to be able to open the View Controller Safari from any application, although it
does not have a default browser available. Thus,
we skip one of Apple's restrictions without the need to jailbreak to our
device.
The good thing Sidesafari,
especially in the case of the iPad (iOS 9 or above) is that View Controller is
an instance of native Safari, so you have access to your passwords, the Reader,
content blockers extensions or Safari. Sidesafari and
shares the design and safety of
the native browser of Apple, while allowing other things like holding down in
the address bar to copy the URL (something I miss in the browser Tweetbot, for
example).
Yesterday Sidesafari Cantu
updated with support for iPhone and other minor improvements to the iPad. In the case of the iPhone, the
application offers an extension that will allow us to open any link in Safari
View Controller from any application, which can come in handy in applications
like the official Twitter app. As
for the iPad, we have added two new features: the address bar now works as the
search for Google, and we can write what we want to look into it and we can set
up a home page to open an icon from the main view.
The two new iPad are useful
and help us save some time while we provide comfort, so that could be a must-have for
users who use the iPad to do certain jobs.
