Facebook prepares a new app: location of friends

clip_image001

In the App Store we have dozens of apps that help us to locate the position of our friends anywhere in the world. Even Apple ventured to explore this idea with the application 'Find my Friends', which seems to have been so successful. Well, the last major company to join this territory is Facebook. According to sources close to the social network, the company will launch in mid of next month an application that will allow us to find our contacts.

We assume that this new tool for Facebook arouse much controversy surrounding the issue of privacy, as always, but we imagine that the user will have an option to enable or disable the "rastreamiento". This application will show a notification when a friend is near us and also maintain an updated timeline with the position of all our contacts who have downloaded the application.

The locator friends will be free on the App Store. So far, no Facebook spokesperson has refused to confirm the project officially. Will be more successful Facebook's bid to 'Find My Friends', Apple?
