Kindle Fire vs. HD. iPad in the advert: Comparative display for smaller price

Amazon has a few days ago released a new TV commercial in which the iPad with the Kindle Fire HD is compared to 8.9 ". The message behind it is that the display of the Amazon tablet is the retina display of the iPad par with the Kindle, but costs $ 200 less.

Thus taunts Amazon not the first time the face of competition from California, since the end of 2012 already applied the shipping giant that Kindle Fire HD in a confrontation with the iPad mini . Shortly after the launch of the small iPads was the message "A lot more for a lot less," for the Kindle Fire HD has a higher pixel density than the iPad mini (216 vs. 163 ppi) and two instead of a speaker, which view this HD films makes and enjoyable. A commentary of the gadget blog Gizmodo confirmed that Apple was brave to demand for an inferior screen a lot more money than the competition.

In the latest video I apply the Kindle Fire HD with 8.9-inch display, the time with the current iPad is compared with Retina Display. The screens show both displays content according to the spotlight in stunning HD quality, with the naked eye, no difference can be detected. The wallet on the other hand will definitely notice a difference, because the Apple Tablet will cost $ 499, with one for the Kindle Fire HD only 299 have to spend.

Even if the difference can not be seen, according to Amazon, it's him. For one thing, the current iPad. With 9.7-inch screen features a larger display and the other with 264 ppi, it has a slightly higher pixel density than the Kindle (254 ppi)

In a global comparison Amazon occupied with 6 million tablets sold in the 4th Quarter 2012 3rd place behind Samsung (7.9 million) and Apple (22.9 million). So the U.S. company could not sell more tablets than in the same period last year, lost because of strong competition from South Korea, however, market share. Whether the new advert for the Americans to rethink their moves and sales of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 "shoot up is unlikely, however, pointing it at Amazon again that Apple is not (more) has no competition - at least as regards the display .
