Apple releases quarterly results Q1/2014: 51 million iPhones and 26 million iPads

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, Apple has released its results for the first fiscal quarter of 2014. The company from Cupertino has once again set a new record and has seen both an increase in profit and sales from the previous year.

Apple was the first fiscal quarter on revenue of 57.6  billion U.S. dollars a profit of 13.1 billion U.S. dollars (14.5 U.S. dollars per share) achieve. Compared to the previous quarter, however, the company was able to increase revenue only ($ 54.5 billion in Q1/2013), the profit is the same. The non-US share of sales was 63 percent in the past quarter.

The sales figures are but (except for the iPod) increased significantly in each area so that Apple has set a new record in terms of iPhone and iPad sales last Christmas quarter.

"We are really happy with our record iPhone and iPad sales, the strong performance of our Mac products and the continued growth of iTunes, Software and Services," Said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "We love having the most satisfied, loyal and engaged customers, and are continuing to invest heavily in our future to Make Their experiences with our products and services even better."

The following figures speak for themselves and show once again that the trend around Cupertino still has not taken off.

· 51 million iPhones  - 47.8 million iPhones in Q1/2013

· 26 million iPads  - 22.9 million iPads in Q1/2013

· 4.8 million Macs  - 4.1 million Macs in Q1/2013

· 6 million iPods  - 12.7 million iPods in Q1/2013

"We generated $ 22.7 billion in cash flow from operations and returned to additional $ 7.7 billion in cash to Shareholders through dividends and share repurchases falling on the December quarter, bringing cumulative payments under our capital return program to over $ 43 billion," Said Peter Oppenheimer, Apple's CFO .
