From skimp on rugged tablet PCs that can be used for example in jobs or job sites, has now the new Toughpad FZ-M1 Rugged presented by Panasonic Tablet PC in as the new 7-incher in fan design from the February 2014 Germany will have to be had for the price of 1599 € (plus VAT).
The new Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1 Rugged Tablet PC offers a 7-inch touchscreen display with LCD technology and supports WUXGA resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels in operation. The display is designed for a high contrast and brightness 500cd / m² and also provides an extra-wide viewing angle and reinforced glass with anti-reflective film ready.
In the area of hardware, an Intel Core i5 vPro processor-4302Y fourth generation is used, which has a very low power consumption of only 4.5 watts. There are also up to 8GB of RAM added, and a 256GB SSD hard drive. Other technical features include numerous modules and optional features such as a GPS chipset and a 4G (LTE) added module. The optional add-ons include a slot for Mini-Serial, Ethernet LAN, NFC, smart card reader, 1D/2D barcode scanner, RFID UHF or a hot-swap function for a battery replacement available. The normal connections include USB 3.0, microSD card slot, micro-SIM and headphones.
For wireless exchange of data Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 are available. The case has been protected to IP65 standards against external influences and the tablet PC can be used in extreme temperatures from -10 degrees to +50 degrees Celsius. The model has also been sealed against ingress of water and dust and keeps a fall from standing height of 1.5 meters. In software the Windows 8.1 Pro operating system is available, as well as the option on the older Windows 7 operating system. As of mid-2014 it will also be a further variant with Intel Celeron processor and Windows 8.1 OS have on offer.
