After the third day of this year's Mobile World Congress has come, it was time to look for the gems of this fair. The major manufacturers already have in advance on the first day and explode their bombs, so we had enough time for the supposedly small. The Japanese company NEC sets a good example to introduce great products without fanfare at MWC. So there was not only the lightest tablet in the world, but also a very innovative Smartphone discovered.
The NEC Medias N05 W-E appeared back at the Japanese carrier NTTDocommo and marketed in the premium segment. The specialty of this device are two displays, one of which is located on the front and the second on the back. Contrary to the YotaPhones here, the displays can be positioned next to each other via a hinge mechanism.
So from two 4.3-inch display produces a display with a diagonal of 5.6 inches, interrupted only by a small gap. The displays solve with 1280 × 800 pixels and colors represent very well represent clock is driven Medias N05 W-E. Of a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory on board When Android OS is 4.1.2 is used. The genius on the phone with two displays is the ability to run two applications side by side. So the users can watch a movie on the left screen while surfing on the right window, or scroll through the gallery.
But also the change in the tablet mode works great without problems. Felt they were very good, the e-mail application, in which during the landscape mode in the lower display, the keyboard, and in the upper text box appears. As an employee of NEC assured us, a global market launch is scheduled for later this year. About the price as much as we could to find out that it should orientate to current high-end smartphones.
With a thickness (folded) of just 12.2mm, it is still portable enough. If one considers the advantages of such a device, it is definitely worth a look.
