Audi A3 e-tron: 204HP with system performance and up to 940 km range

In early March, Audi had presented another highlight at the Auto Show in Geneva. With the new Audi A3 e-tron, which we want to bring you a bit more detail in this post

The Audi A3 e-tron concept is based on the Audi A3 Sportback, we had already been presented to you in the form of a travel report, and the new model was developed as a so-called parallel hybrid. Behind the drive system, and a system output of 150kW/204PS firstly the 1.4L TFSI engine hides with 150PS/110KW performance or a torque of 250Nm and it comes one 75kW electric motor with torque 330Nm used.

With its 204hp the A3 e-Tron accelerates from 0-100kmh in 7.6 seconds. The top speed is specified with 222kmh and with a full tank and battery its total range is about 940 kilometers. The fuel consumption is estimated at about 1.5 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions of only 35 grams per kilometer. The maximum speed for pure electric drive is limited to 130kmh and the electric range is up to 50 kilometers.

The new hybrid drive system is coupled to a new six-speed eS Tronic gearbox which directs the transmission of power to the front wheels. For the power supply of the electric motor is a lithium-ion battery system to the course, which has to have a capacity of 8.8 kWh. For cooling it has an integrated liquid cooling, which is to keep the battery in the optimal temperature range. The charging process will take place over the four rings in the grille, behind which is the outlet. With the 3.6kW charger, the Audi A3 e-tron will be fully charged within 2.5 hours.

Other enhancements include, among others, the new vacuum brake booster, which is also of an electrical vacuum pump. You can also choose between three driving modes and the interior is an information display is used, which can show the status of the drive system and the battery.
