The appearance of the Taiwanese companies in this year's Mobile World Congress, we could not be out of our seats, so we made a bow to the rather modest level. But something interesting was still open because ST Liew, Smartphone Business Group President of Acer, was reacting to a new Liquid Phablet S-series.

This would make it the first time that we hear about a completely new lineup from Acer. Taiwanese people are so far successfully only with tablets of their success with other companies Smartlets / Phablets has not escaped. Ultimately only logical that in this segment units are planned. Moreover, it was communicated that these devices are equipped with quad-core processors. This would mean that for the first time outside of tablets come with quad-core processors are used.

ST Liew continues to address the fact that Phablets reflect an irreversible trend, and by the large display multitasking and gaming still can be done better.

The transition between tablets and smartphones has become blurred, a new generation of smart phones, also called Phablets is an irreversible trend towards new forms of life. Screens with more than 4.7-inch and quad-core processors on these "giants" extremely high resolution for multitasking, gaming, navigation and much more.

So we can be pretty sure that Acer later this year will introduce Phablet with a diagonal of at least 5 inches. Additional specifications, or the release was not expressed. A presentation at the IFA in Berlin is quite conceivable, but also the Computex Taipei could provide an appropriate venue.
